Had an amazing time at the Snake Room! Darren, the owner, was so nice, really friendly, welcoming, and made us feel comfortable straight away. Me and my son went into the rage room and it was absolutely fantastic. Such a great way to release tension, and we both came out smiling. The whole experience was well organised, safe, and just really good fun. All the staff were lovely and approachable, which made the visit even better. We couldn’t fault it at all. Highly recommend to anyone looking for something different and fun to do. We’ll definitely be back to check out all the other activities they offer!
We were unfortunately unable to do the rage room today but the host really made up for it it. Free axe throwing, coffees and a good laugh. We will be back soon! Great understanding and great employees 😊
Booked the rage room and axe throwing. Rage room was a great way to blow off steam, plenty of stuff to smash up, would definitely recommend to anyone considering it. Axe throwing was very fun, the guys were very knowledgeable, patient and helpful when teaching techniques for throwing. All around very good vibe, friendly staff, awesome experience. Would recommend to anyone considering it.
So disappointed in this place, we had been here before for axe throwing which was great fun - so we decided to buy a voucher for a birthday present for the rage room after that and sadly had the same experience as lots of other reviewers. We used the voucher to book the rage room session in January, and had a phone call that morning from the owner saying there was an issue with the power and we couldnt come - but if we text him to rearrange then he would rebook and throw in a free axe throwing session. Totally fair enough, these things happen - but we have not been able to rebook and have been requesting our money back since it has become apparent that they have no intention of booking us in again. We have sent texts, emails and Facebook messages which have been either not responded to or fobbed off. Our money has genuinely been stolen at this point, we cannot afford to lose this - it was a birthday gift and we might as well have chucked the money in the bin. £50 might not be a lot to the owners but it is to us! I never leave negative reviews, and especially on small local businesses - but this is just really unfair. Please be careful of booking anything with them as my experience seems to be a common one going by the other reviews on here and Facebook
I love the Snake Room - the casual nature of this place is something that really appeals to me. It's like going round your mate's house and having a go at stuff they're trying out as a business idea. While this relaxed style suits me, I can understand why some people have not been impressed. This is a really difficult review to write because in order to make the Snake Room fit customer expectations, it might lose the atmosphere I love so much. From a professional point of view, this place could be a real gold mine if the owners took it more seriously and put the time/effort in. All the employees I've met are excellent people, but when you come to do dangerous activities such as the Snake room offers, you want to have full confidence in the person leading the event. The staff at the Snake Room don't give you that confidence. The set-up also doesn't give you that confidence. And this could easily be rectified with some customer service sessions and a look at the business plan to make sure the team are not spread too thin. There is nothing else in Derbyshire that comes close to offering this level of fun. I really hope it stays for years to come
