** derby** Shout out to Helen and Josh you are fabulous!! We visited for a 50th birthday celebration and had an absolutely brilliant time. From start to finish it was great fun and such a different way to celebrate. The staff were fantastic — really friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe, while still keeping it relaxed and fun. There was plenty of laughter all night, and the atmosphere was spot on. Even though I didn’t win, it didn’t matter at all — it was such a fun experience, and something we were all talking about long after we left. I’d highly recommend axe throwing for anyone looking to do something a bit different for a birthday or group celebration.
Helen is absolutely amazing! There were 10 of us booked on alongside another group, and her instructions were super clear, engaging, and delivered brilliantly. Both Helen and Josh made sure our night was 100% fun from start to finish, showing us loads of different throwing techniques and keeping the energy high throughout. We had the best time - highly recommend!
Freya was incredible! We had so much fun, her coaching was brilliant and we felt fully supported for our first time axe throwing. The health and safety was very clear but not overwhelming. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you Helen and Freya, you're both legends!
We had a brilliant time at Hatchet Harry's in Derby. It was a great way to spend some time as a team. Helen, our coach, was brilliant, she made sure we all left with all our fingers and toes and also gave us lots of tips to make sure we all hit at least one bulls eye. Thanks guys, it was great, we'll definitely be back!
My second time axe throwing and my family's first! My girls are 12 and really it enjoyed it, my parents both came along too and loved it ! My dad was spectating at first and Helen made sure he had a seat but then he couldn't resist and needed to join in as he saw how much fun it was. Helen was amazing! Showing us all how to throw the axes and helped us along the way. We all also had a competition! Freya and Rhea were also super friendly, lovely atmosphere and a friendly team! I encourage everyone to have a go! It might not seem like "your thing" but give it a go! It's great fun!
